Little Cedar is a small business where we create handmade, chemical free, high-quality goat cheese and yoghurt for the local market. We provide a home-like environment where we value people’s dignity and happiness.
We are seeking a milker to milk our goats. No experience necessary as all the training will be provided.
Working Hours and Pay:
– Casual position for the duration of the milking season (31 August to 30 April).
– 2.5 hours per day – starting at 7am – when needed.
– pay rate is $35 per hour.
– Flexibility with work-days is essential.
Main duties include:
– milking the goats,
– cleaning the equipment,
– feeding the goats,
– delivering the milk trolley to the cheese room.
Ideal personal attributes for the role:
– Respectful and kind to both humans and goats!
– Reliable, committed (actually wants the job).
– Good work ethic (no phones, focused on getting the work done)
– Cares about the quality of their work.
