Below are descriptions of our main products and some recommended ways of eating them.

Goat Yoghurt – $15

After experimenting with types and amounts of cultures as well as time and temperature of the setting yoghurt, we have our recipe of goat yoghurt that is as firm as goat yoghurt can get – which is still soft enough to drink (with some effort)! It has a surprising, pleasant flavour that is somehow light and vibrant. The taste and consistency is quite different to the typical “greek style yoghurt” found in the shops.

It’s also healthy as anything! No added gelatin or additives, just naturally set and perfect for scouping over your favourite healthy breakfast cereal. See here for more details on the health aspect of eating yoghurt: Yoghurt health benefits.

Get it onto some granola mix with a few berries and your gut will think it went to heaven.

Packaging: Tubs containing 1kg of yoghurt.
Shelf life: 6 weeks.

Labneh – $13

Goat Labneh is a strained, salted yoghurt. It’s silky smooth in texture and is an addictive healthy “dip” using cucumber fingers or else it goes nicely as a spread put on bread with either tomato or cucumber slices. Some like to sprinkle some chilli and drizzle some olive oil on top for spoiling the taste buds that little bit more.

Packaging: small pots containing 250g of Labneh.
Shelf life: 6 weeks.

Chevrette – $7 – $14

k

A lactic set fresh cheese. Its strength is in its versatility as it goes well with just about everything.

Serving suggestions: On toast or warm fresh bread with butter and a cup of tea for breakfast, or on pizza with honey and baby spinach… or crumbled in salad… or on a burger… or on toasted sandwich with tomato and thinly sliced onion… or on a plate of spaghetti bolognaise… or even in pumpkin soup. You can’t go wrong with this faithful product.

Generally sold as logs (~230g). 1kg slabs are also available at a discounted price. It’s freezable, so any spare cheese can be stored away for later to avoid wastage.

Packaging: Vacuum sealed.
Shelf life: 6 weeks. Consume within a week of opening. Excess can be frozen.

Twilight – $16 (sm) or $45 (lge)

Our most popular product, a soft lactic set goat cheese marinated in extra virgin local olive oil blend (due to consumer demand we put ~30% canola oil to minimise the solidifying of the olive oil). Infused either with garlic and chives or thyme and rosemary – all herbs being from our garden. Soft, spreadable texture.
Fun fact: we pack a heap of cheese into each jar. At LEAST 200g per jar – which actually makes it cheaper (per gram of cheese) than similar products in the shops. We also sell this product in tubs that contain nearly 4 jars’ worth (over 750g) of cheese for significantly better value for money.

This cheese tastes delicious in salads or simply spread on a slice of fresh bread or toast. The oil is tasty and can be added to just about any dish.

Packaging: 1L plastic tubs containing >750g cheese, OR 300g glass jars containing >200g cheese.
Shelf life: Best-before date is up to 4 month… which is actually fairly conservative.

Mokoan Night – $8 – $15

The name “Mokoan Night” is inspired by the area near our farm’s location. Little Cedar farm sits beside what was previously a shallow dam that was formerly known as “Lake Mokoan”. The dam was recently drained and made into the “Winton Wetlands”. You can read about that project here: winton-wetlands-project-overview.

“Mokoan Night” is a soft ripened cheese covered with a layer of white, wrinkly mould. The young chevre-style texture begins to forms a ‘gooey’ layer just inside the mould that becomes thicker as the cheese is aged further. Flavours are mild when young, becoming deeper and more complex as the cheese ages.

This is a more elegant style of cheese and is suited simply to cheese/grazing platters. People who have a slight obsession with goat cheese… this is the one for you!

Packaging: Wrapped in cheese paper with sizes varying between 80g-160g.
Shelf life: 4 weeks and beyond. It gets ‘gooey-er’ and stronger tasting the longer you leave it in the fridge.

La Plume – $13

Known as “Fromage Blanc” in France and traditionally used as a dessert cheese, La Plume is a fresh dessert goat curd whose uniqueness is in the delicious sweetness that we achieve by whipping in our own handmade whey-caramel. The texture is light and fluffy with a sweet, creamy flavour. After the product is packaged and re-opened, the cheese settles, and so it should ideally be whipped or at least stirred up with a fork to maximise the “fluffiness” for the optimal texture.

For maximal enjoyment include some of your favourite cunchy crackers and some seasonal berries. One of our most addictive cheeses for tasters of all ages.

Packaging: 300ml containers containing 250g of cheese.
Shelf life: 3 weeks. Whip or stir ahead of eating.
